Get a grip babe
Emotions, are you the boss of yours? I wasn't for many years, my emotions were controlling what I ate, how my day went and the decisions I made, running freely like a wild manic spirit. I've learnt to get a grip of my emotions. This has led to better focus, achieving more with my day, making better decisions for my body and letting go of shitty situations. We can get lost in our emotions and let them control us. This can lead to poor choices to try to numb the emotions that we don't like or are uncomfortable to sit with. This is a very negative place to be, you will not always feel good, positive and happy but you can control how these negative emotions effect you.
You're the boss of your life and you decide what goes down. We are driven day-to-day by our emotions, they effect our thoughts and actions. Negative emotions slowly condition the mind, what consumes your mind controls your life, what you currently have in your life is a result of the way you think and feel.
